How to draw cats in cartoon form
How to draw cats is often asked in my cartoon classes and workshops. I would say, start with basic shapes and overlaps to create the shape of the cat. Add a few details, keeping your pencil work light to save on rubbing out and to keep your drawing area clean. Next stage would be to draw the final linework, then the colour and detail. Never worry about making mistakes, I still make them but they allow you to see where the lines need tweaking, it’s all part of the process. Click on the illustration sheet to view at larger size.
